Hi, I appreciate the feedback. I DO realize that most of the games I listed are horizontal. When I was in the planning stages of my project, I just made a quick mental list of the games I want to be able to play and quickly realized that MOST of them are VERTICAL games. So of course I decided to mount my monitor VERTICALLY, and not bother with rotating it. Certainly I CAN run HORIZONTAL games on this orientation but they'll of course be smaller.

Many of the games I listed in that post are actually games I don't care about trying to recreate. I have an original Track & Field machine in the same room, as well as an Asteroids, and a Golden Axe! I'm not using a trackball on my control panel so there's no need to emulate Missle Command. I realize what I listed. I simply listed ALL the games I could think of, so that I wouldn't get responses listing games I was already aware of. I want to try to have an idea of ANY games I'd be missing out on if I only use a 3 button layout. If any of those I'll be missing out on are IMPORTANT enough to me, I'd consider adding more buttons. I know I'll be missing out on Robotron not having 2 8-way joysticks but I'm thinking that pretty soon, a very easy way to switch between 4-way and 8-way will be discovered without having to dismantle, and then Robotron will be possible, but with a vertical monitor Robotron will be small anyways, so at the moment it's not a priority. Defender...same thing. I'd love to be able to emulate Defender, but I'd accept nothing less than the exact same control layout as the original and I simply don't have the room for that on this project, again that one is also a horizontal, so one more reason to forgo that game for now.

I just wanted to try to get as complete a list of classic games that use more than 2 buttons, that I could get. Oddly enough, through this entire thread I haven't heard ANY other games mentioned that DO use more than 2 buttons, other than the ones I listed.

I don't mean to offend anyone, but it seems a lot of the times when people respond to message posts they offer MUCH more information than simply what is requested and sooner or later the purpose of the thread is gone. I think it's just a matter of people wanting to help everyone else so much, and that's what makes this site great.

Can I try once more... Can anyone think of "ANY" classic (late 70's to mid-late 80's) video games that use more than 2 buttons for game play.
Thanks everyone!
