Err, you realize that 6 of the 7 games you mentioned are horizontal, no?

Sorry, missed that you mentioned Aseroids, but my point about the layout is important (at least it was for me.)

Also, if you position a button close enough to your right joystick, you can nail it with your pinky finger for battlezone :).

Randy (who doesn't like the funky topmounted button sticks either :) )

: I didn't forget Asteroids (I named that one), and I guess I should've mentioned...I'm using a VERTICAL orientation for the monitor. Yes I'd like to play Robotron, but that's a horizontal, and I don't want to mess with it on a vertical monitor, but if I really wanted to play it I could easily change the actuator on the joystick to have two 8-ways. Battlezone, while a great 80's game, is also a horizontal monitor, and I just can't stand those top-firing joysticks. They're annoying to use, not original joystick for anything BUT Battlezone, and they're just UGLY.

: Thanks for the advice, but I've already got my plan in mind, I just want to know what CLASSICS use more than 2 buttons. Thanks again.

: : Yes, I agree. You need 2 8-way joysticks. One of them must be top firing. Then you can play BattleZone.
