Have you checked the obvious?

Trace the power connection from the cord into the monitor. You might be lucky and find out that it is just a blown fuse somewhere near where the power line goes into the CRT chassis. There might be something further up the line that is causing the fuse to blow though, and if that is the case, you'll need some expert help.

Generaly speaking, just plain dead is easier to troubleshoot than one that is getting power but no picture. How have you verified that it is not getting power?

Watch out for high voltage levels though. Sometimes those big capacitors can hold a charge powerful enough to knock you across the room or even KILL you, for months after being disconnected from power.

If you have to poke around in there, make sure the power is disconnected at the wall and LEAVE ONE HAND IN YOUR POCKET. Or better yet, get a qualified tech to look at it to be safe. Losing your life to save $150 is not a good deal.

: Is there a site that specifically talks about troubleshooting arcade monitor problems? I just got a neogeo cabinet with a 25inch monitor and I realllly hope the monitor is good. It does not get power when the arcade machine is powered on.
