The ZSNES app file is set up with virtualemu=1.
I had more control over individual game settings by using this switch and starting each game with a batch file. The problem with using this switch is you need a way to automate the building of the initial batch files or you will be typing forever. The AOS readme file has some info on virtual emus.
If you are not familiar with writing batch files, try the ZSNES.AP_ file. Rename it to ZSNES.APP and supply your path to ZSNES. You will probably need to play around with the key remapping in the AOS config file. As always, check the app files before trying it on your system so you don't damage your monitor.
