If I understand what your saying...just have another SET of 4 switches on top of the regular 4 and rig up the wires connecting each SET to a toggle switch. I'm sure extending the joystick shaft would be the trick. That's a pretty ingenious idea though.

: Just as an idea, what about lengthening the joystick shaft, and mounting 4 more switchs directly under the 4 that are there, then using a different actuator for these switches. In theory couldn't you then have a set of 4way switches, and a set of 8way switches that could be switched between?

: Mind you, this is a complicated theory to attempt in practice, I'm just wondering if it could work in theory.
