Sortinfo is correct. Many game use a vsync of 30.0 Hz. Figpstar, Cisco Heat, others (N/T)

: Using the program SortInfo I found that some games use a frequency (hsync or vysnc not sure???) of 30 (kHz? or Hz?). My question is, using a PC with an arcade monitor via VGA connector (e.g. WG 3100 or WG 9200), will it display those games correctly without using VsyncMame or the like?

: I ask because the monitor that I want to buy, the WG 3100, accepts a hsync of 31.5 or 35.5 kHz and a vsync of 56-87 Hz, and one of my favorite games shows a 30 frequency. There seems to be about fifty games with a 30 frequency, could it be that mame is reporting the wrong frequencies? I doubt it. The other, less attractive, option is to buy a TV with s-video, and use VsyncMame.

: Another couple of quick questions, how well does X or Windows work with a WG 3100? Does the monitor support the boot-up process, or do you have to wait till you get into X or Windows to turn it on?

: Well that's all i can think of for questions right now thanks,

: masshol
