I have a HP A1097C Fixed Frequency monitor. I modified it to accept H-Sync and V-Sync (rather that sync on green) and it works great in Windows but only at 1280x1024 @72Hz. My question is: Can i get this to work in AdvanceMame? I've messed around with the mv program, but when I list the monitor specs in mame.cfg and run mv.exe it doesn't show any additional, editable resolutions. I can manually enter a modeline in mame.cfg to get it to run at 1280x1024 @72Hz and then this shows up in the mv list as an editable resolution, but this is hardly useful for Mame. Although this monitor must run at a specific resolution and frequency, can AdvanceMame make it run at other psuedo resolutions or is this monitor doomed to be a windows-only monitor?
