Well, got the bastard up and running. =)

Lessons Learned :

1. The monitor will survive DOS frequencies but obviously won't display them correctly. Thus, Im back to either the Parallel switch or dual toggle outside the machine. (more research to follow)

2. I didn't believe it at first, but the process described in the pc2jamma faq for rewiring VGA 2 Arcade Monitor worked (even with twisting v and h syncs together!!!) Im completely amazed by it! Thank goodness for Ohm Meters for continuity testing, otherwise I would have had to build my own VGA pinout. =/

3. The konami cabinet appears to be too cramped for me to stuff my box intotal into it, probably going to have to fix the motherboard in on the jamma board holder.

Thanks for all the feed back Tim, Agent Davis, and MrTomcat. It was greatly appreciated.

Hopefully I can get my hands on a digital camera and post some photos.

: Hey folks,

: Just bought a Konami 29" sit-down style cabinet, and am getting read to MAMEify it (leaving the original JAMMA goodness intact no less).

: Question though is, once everything is wired up properly, will it be safe to boot the DOS box with the Arcade Monitor on?

: I've read through the FAQ's that i've found, but haven't seen that specific issue addressed. Are the BIOS/DOS refresh rates and frequencies safe for the monitor, or am I better off rigging two power switches into the box, one for the monitor and one for the system?
