I agree that the powerramp or the mite is probably a better deal, until they stop making them. I bought a few extra powerramps just in case.

If I have traced out the circutry correctly on the powerramp, it does use a matrix though. I imagine the mite does as well. They use diodes though, so there is no problem with ghosting.
