I can't give you a YES or NO about your question because it depends on the encoder used. The # of wires, input voltage, active high or active low - all of this will determine if it will work.

Having said that, there are plenty of encoders that will work with interfaces such as the Optipac+, ME4, etc.

: I read that post already and I looked through everything else on the page for answers before I posted. Your post is a little GREEK for me. I'm just wondering CAN one hook up an arcade spinner and it's encoder to just the mouse wires, and how would one go about doing that. The arcade spinner encoder uses about 10 wires and the mouse much less. Otherwise...any ideas on how to get the plastic mouse spinner wheel firmly attached to the arcade spinner?
