Cal-50, Great game as far I know!!

>1 - Why don't I just buy a 19" computer monitor instead of having all the problems I am reading with Arcade monitors?

Reason some people have been difficulties due to other reasons, not because its particular difficult, infact I found it the easiest thing todo, just make sure you have an ATI (mach64 internal clock) card. Monitors ruin the Arcade experience and believe me games look so much better on the geninune article, its the difference to playing games on a keyboard or an arcade joystick. Plus universal mount monitors are the way to go IMO.

>2 - There is a JAMMA board in the machine still. What is it, and do I need to use it for anything(keep seeing things about people modifying them)?

I would put the PCB board away in a safe place, you can buy a JAMMA finger board to hook the controls up to a PC, bear in mind you'll have to stay to the JAMMA conventions, 4buttons max per player (NeoGeo JAMMA extension), and so on.

>3 - I am going to use the spinner controller >that was left in the machine. There are 4 wires >out of it. How do I wire/convert it to use with >the PC?

If I am right this game uses the exact same type of Optical Joystick as Me, Torgo and others are using, There is 4 pins that come from the the optical board right??
Pin 1=Data
Pin 2=+5V
Pin 3=Ground
Pin 4=Data

You'll need the Happs Control Trackball interface, Serial or USB (USB Windows 95 OSR2 or higher).

I hope that helped.. and your right this board is the only board I know where people have proper discussion, brings a tear to my eye..
