I thought that I should post a follow-up to my previous post concerning Acadesticks.com. On wednesday of this week, I finally received the refund from Drew. To his credit, he shipped it Priority mail AND included the trackball bolts. While I still stand by my statement that he needs to improve his bookkeeping (the refund only took three weeks and several emails), I think that Drew made an effort to resolve the problem. While I don't know if this a testament to Drew's improved customer service or just the persuasive power of the internet, the end result is that I received my full shipment and an unexcepted bonus.

Oh, and to those of you that responded in posts and emails that I was an idiot for expecting a business to ship an item before a check clears, I have to ask "Where do you shop?". This isn't Ebay or the classifieds; Arcadesticks.com is a business. Whether on not they choose to ship immediately is their decision, but they should indicate as much on their site. It is NOT common practice for legitimate businesses to hold items until a check clears, and verifying a check doesn't require expensive equipment and fees. Most services will verify a check over the phone for less than 2% per transaction. That's not a lot to spend for the added customer service.
