could you please post the entire contents of your mame.cfg or email them to me? I can not for the life of me figure out why VsyncMAME works flawlessly, but DOSmame restarts my system everytime I start a game. I thought maybe I had something set wrong. And about Advancemame. Is it normal to only have three resolutions available in mv.exe that fit the whole screen? That doesn't seem like enough.
