I wouldn't risk it (it would be a problem if there is a common ground between the IPAC and the Playstation). I have two suggestions. Find a microswitch with dual normally open contacts that are electrically isolated from each other (I don't know if they make one for arcade buttons). Or, get a gang switch that would allow you to switch the buttons between the IPAC and the Playstation -- one position would connect the buttons to the IPAC and the other would connect the buttons to the Playstation pads.
