Dual usage of buttons question....

Hey everyone. My control panel has 6 buttons per player plus a player start and a coin button for each player. Now, I want to use my control panel for both playstation, dreamcast, and pc. The six buttons on top plus the player start button are enough for the dreamcast. However, playstation has two additional buttons plus select. I'm going to wire select to the coin up. I'm also going to install 2 buttons on each side of the cabinet for pinball games and for the two additional buttons required for playstation. Now.. can I run 2 wires from each of these extra 3 buttons per player (6 total) to both the IPAC AND the playstation pads or will doing this risk sending a signal to the playstation that could harm it? I think you all understand what I'm saying.

Basically can you run a single button to an input both on the ipac and on the playstation? Thanks.
