I think you have the wrong computer there.

The BookPC I know of is based off of a BabyAT motherboard. Sound, video, ethernet, modem, etc... built in.

Just built a BookPC system for a friend who wanted to convert his DJ business to use all MP3 instead of lugging 2000CDs around with him.

For an 'all-in-one' system, they dont seem half bad. You can build up a really ballsey system for under $500 (minus monitor)

One thing I can think of that might make them 'suck' in a cabinet, is that they have no serial port. All mouse control would have to be done via PS2 or USB.

Before I let him have it, ill test out MAME on it.
Any recommendations for a good benchmark?
Its a 700Mhz Celeron, 128MB RAM.
