The black disc covers the hole you drill. Gravity holds the disc in place, do not glue it or the joystick will not move freely. A proper installation will allow you to move the disc freely and even slide it up the joystick arm....since your cabinet should not be turning upside down, gravity is all you need to keep it in place. Basically, it might seem wrong that the disc moves freely, but this is correct. Good Luck.
