While that's the case with my cab, it is also useful because I play games like Mechwarrior (2,3,4,etc) which require a *HUGE* number of keyboard inputs. I didn't mind adding extra MAME function buttons to my panel because they come in handy during my dogfighting in X-Wing, Tie-Fighter, Wing Commander, etc. You get the picture. :)
While these may not be "arcade" games, they definitely benefit from having arcade controls. No one wants to have to look down and hunt for the 'w' key to switch to proton torpedoes just when they have the Death Star exhaust port in sight!!!
