Note that all rates are quoted in British pounds. The cost for the KBE-1 is listed as 54 pounds. At today's exchange rate of 1.6535 dollars per pound, that's about $89 PLUS shipping all the way from England. It's already more than the $80 LP24 and with shipping will probably be far more than the $100 KE24 even though you get far less configurability.
It's always a good thing to examine new options for everyone, but alas. It turns out the KBE-1 is not up to the standards of the Hagstrom encoders.
