Poor Monitor Visibility.. PLEASE HELP!

I Just hooked up my mame pc for the first time to my Jamm cab and everything works fine except that I had to turn up the brightness on my acade monitor to max. I can only just see Arcadeos and playing games in mame is impossible. When I hook up a real game board, e.g. Rabbit Punch, everything appears O/k.

The arcade monitor is a 26" Kortek model. Any Help Appreciated!!
