No the check is built into the BIOS.

To be fair to Hanaho, the PC keyboard interface is a really quirky thing to deal with. It would probably be necessary for them to acquire one of the offending boards to test with and modify their code accordingly. Like anything in the PC world, compatibility is a real problem.
