Sounds like we first need to determine if this is a VGA issue or a CAP Kit issue.

: I have an arcade monitor with separate R, G, B, H-sync, V-sync, and ground hooked up to my computer through a VGA cable I split open and gutted. The picture appears fine, but every 5 minutes or so the picture will suddenly get covered with a blinding red tint, almost like only the red has gone completely out of sync and is completely overlaying the green and blue. It only lasts for about 2-5 seconds each time, but it's totally annoying. Anyone have a clue what's happening here?
