: I just noticed an earlier request for help a
: couple weeks ago where you said the keyboard
: or the hotrod would boot fine and it is only
: when using both that you have problems.

Well now it seems that it doesn't boot up clean with the Hotrod. Whether that was because I believed wrongly I'm not sure because I was pulling out and plugging in so many times I may have been confused.

But currently it's reporting that error with the Hotrod.

: Did you bring your keyboard when you tested
: the hotrod on the other PCs?

No, but I tried with another keyboard I have and it had the same message. Could they both be wrong? Chances are slim but perhaps.

: The problem may be the hotrod to keyboard
: communication opposed to the computer hotrod
: communication. If the hotrod fails on the other
: PCs while using your keyboard, then you might
: want to get another keyboard.

Well your earlier suggestion was more promissing (about it being a BIOS/Motherboard thing) but it doesn't explain why the hotswapping techinique always works. Which is a shame.

Maybe a new Motherboard is the solution but I hope not. I forgot to mention that the PS2 port makes my computer beep (the same sound when I hot-swap) when I use the Hotrod sometimes. Could my Motherboard be too clever for its own good by controlling the port too strictly?

John King..

Thanks for all the help.
