I completely understand what you are saying and I think you are absolutely correct. I guess I got the impression that you were disappointed with the path that your work(along with others) has taken this hobby down. I really believe that AOS, MAME, and others has revived this hobby and opened it up to the masses. I’m sure that many classic cabs, that would have otherwise been destroyed, will be rescued because of emu projects like AOS.
Like I said in my previous post, I have a ton of respect for you and AOS. I would hate for you to regret it, thinking that emulation is making classic gaming seem shallow. For some, that will always be the case. But for the most part, I believe projects like AOS have been a great thing for this hobby.
