There appears to be a personality conflict
between the hotrod and your mother board's
keyboard controller. There is nothing wrong
with your PS2 port. I had a similar problem
while testing the "pre-released" version of
the MK40/MK64. It would work on some PCs, but
not others.
You could press "F1 to continue" assuming that
is an option and the keyboard isn't locked up.
