I do have a soft switching ATX ps. I have the Abit KT7 but I looked in the power management section in the bios and didn't see a setting for power loss setting. :( I'm not sure if I want to try the jumper thing though. :) I'll think about it though. Thanks.

: If you've got a soft-switching ATX power supply - the power is controlled by a signal from the motherboard. You can often find a setting in the BIOS setup to control auto-start. "Boot automatically after power failure" or some such thing. Flip that setting and the machine will start once it receives power.
: If you don't have that setting, you can jumper the ATX connector where the PS plugs into the motherboard. You want to connect pins 14 (green signal wire) and 15 (ground), which fools the PS into thinking the motherboard has requested a power on condition.
: Just a word of warning - my machine has the BIOS setting, so I haven't tried the jumper. You do so at your own risk. :-)
