You can remove the tweak seetings from mame.cfg, advance mame does not use them. And just put

hclock = 15.75
vclock = 50 - 60
in your mame.cfg
Also with advance mame the monitor= setting is also not used. It looks for hclock and vclock.
Yes, you can use arcadeos with advancemame as any other frontend. But I would suggest trying advance menu first, the tile display is really cool...
But why make notgood use of the midres of you monitor for vertical games with advance mame so that all lines are displayed correctly?
