I can actually see where Brian is coming from...I have a JAMMA cabinet in between 2 MAME cabs and to be honest, the Jamma cab kicks butt over the 2 PC's. There is something about it that just makes me feel like I'm in an arcade...could be because it actually was in an arcade as opposed to the 2 other cabs which I built myself. Andy is right though, emulation is close but not the same...especially with newer games like Mortal Kombat (if that can be considered newer)...it's just not the same on a fast MAME machine...

I just wish I could afford to collect cabinets - let alone have enough room.

Since I didn't mention it anywhere else, I really do appreciate Brian's work with Arcade OS and the other projects he's put up on his site.

I've tried a lot of frontends and keep coming back to AOS because it just does what I want it to do with my cabinet. Thanks again Brian!

I have fired them up side by side and I honestly cannot see a difference. I realize that some games are more accurately emulated than others, but is the difference great enough to purchase 1000 original boards?
