THIS MESSAGE HAS BEEN POSTED AGAIN TO GET AS MUCH FEEDBACK AS POSSIBLE.
Sorry guy’s who have responded to this message in the past. I just would like as much feedback as possible on people’s opinion on their Track ball or people that have built cabinets.
These questions below arise from the fact that I would like to integrate a Trackball into my control panel that acts / looks / fees like the original arcade cabinet trackball like Marble Madness.
My questions are:
1. What HAPP Trackball size (2-1/4, 3” or 4-1/2) do you use in you cabinet?
2. If you had a second change to change the trackball in your cabinet, what size would you install (2-1/4, 3” or 4-1/2)? If not why not? If so why so?
3. The HAPP 4-1/2” Trackball, is the ball able to be pulled in and out freely once the Track ball is installed into the control panel? Looking at the HAPP 4-1/2” catalogue picture it looks like it can. Can any who has a 4-1/2” version confirm this.
4. How heavy is the ball in the 4-1/2” trackball? Is it heavier then the 2-1/4” and the 3” balls? It got mentioned that the 2-1/4” ball is heavier then the 3”, first allowing it to free-spin longer.
5. The two HAPP trackball (3” and 4-1/2”) are constructed and operate differently. Which is the most durable/strongest version?
I’ve asked the following question before, but I was away and cannot fine it on the message board:
6. What is the Trackball size in the original Marble Madness cabinet?
7. Any other feedback on Track ball would be kindly appreciated.
Kind Regards
Dariusz
