The thick black wire is the wire that goes from the power supply to the onbutton switch part
: Easy steps
: 1. unplug the tower but make sure the power button is pressed in. push the button and cut the thick black cord and put an electrical cap on it. it should work fien now. But PLEASE only try this if you want an old power supply lying around. I got it to work but my friend couldn't. Do this at your own risk. :o)
