I have the three bases in Missle Command mapped to the first three P1 buttons...I don't use the trackball buttons once I'm in MAME at all. Although having the trackball buttons would behoove you during Windows navigation. I just simply left my trackball intact and mounted it straight into my CP, leaving me the buttons on top for easy Windows navigation. (Kind of analogous to the way that MAMEHAM's ball is mounted).
