RoarCade, the Destination is not an s-video TV with an upscan converter. Its a real MULTISCAN computer monitor. Yes, the 31" and 36" destinations are too big for a standard arcade cabinet, but its the right size for a "showcase" style cabinet (which I'm building for my 36" destination).
To answer the original poster's question, the destination can go up to 800x600 (non-interlaced). This is a little better than 480p HDTV. The WG site lists the D9200's top resolution at 640x480 (although people say it can do 800x600...but I believe that its interlaced at that point). The D9200 can also down scan to 15kHz so there is no need for the xrgb-2 box. Another bonus of the D9200 is that its a standard size monitor which fits in most 25" or 27" cabinets.

: A destination's too big for a cab, it's a nice S-Video TV with a scan converter in it for 800x600 res, The monitor is much smaller, and the HDTV, well, there are so many.
: What's the resolution of the HDTV? And will it take a VGA input or will you need additional hardware? Lots of questions to answer your question!

: : I want to either buy a Gateway Destination monitor and an XRGB-2, a Wells Gardner D9200, or an older HDTV? Of these three, which would have the best picture?
