Question about arcade monitors w/ Mame (no one will help me on the MAME board)

Hello All:

I've noticed on my system that when I replaced my VGA monitor with an arcade monitor (used the -ntsc and the -monitor arcade option), the sound slows down slightly. Is there any way to counteract this? Has anyone else had this problem?
