Well now that I am almost finished with my cabinet, (somehow I figure I will never REALLY ever be done)I have a few observations on how others view this project. The reactions i get from co-workers and friends run from "you are doing what?" to "COOL!!!!! when can i play?" While most friends etc that are around the same age think the cabinet is freakin great, none of then are very interested in how it was done. I get a lot of "you must be really smart" and "I could never do that". I actually think many people could do it if they just read up on it and do some research.
Maybe we are just a little wierd cuz a lot of the attraction for this project for me was DOING the project. If has so may interesting facets like woodworking, electonics, computers etc. I am like "hey check out my web page" to friends and they look at it for a few minutes and then are like "its too technical for me" But I know that many of you have looked that the page and were helped by it so that makes me glad I did it.
While many people don't really care to know how it was done, they sure like to play it!!
Anyone else get this kinda reactions? Just curious.
