Anologue Controls in Advanced Mame?

I'm running advanced mame and I've also got the Happ rotary optical joysticks. I tried to play Ikari Wariors and I could only get the player one to rotate with the x axis and couldn't get player 2 to rotate with the y axis. The rotation for player 2 is mapped to n and m keys, and I want to change it to the y axis. How do I specify a mouse axis under the tab game settings menu?
