You can accomplish that through the msdos.sys file too (that's how msconfig does it, incidentally)
I always thought that boot menu looked ghastly. :)
Anyway he seemed to like the old way of typing 'win' so I gave it to him. That way you can do your own menu in autoexec.bat or whatever.
: Sorry, Ohso, but I like this way better. For Win98 users, which i believe he is, in Windows, click start, then run, then type msconfig and run it.
: In MSconfig, click advanced, and in the new window, select "enable Start Menu". What this does, is it gives you the same message you would get if you hit F8 before bootup.
: That's it, reboot, and see what happens.
