I noticed the thread below about scrolling in Moon Patrol being "skippy." I hope ppl don't mind me starting this new thread, but I think I really have some useful info to offer and wanted to be sure you read this.
Anyway, here goes.
Moon Patrol requires a refresh of 57Hz to have proper smooth scrolling. A refresh of approximately 1.5 x 57 (about 75.3Hz) will also work well.
This is one of the MAJOR reasons I use Advance MAME. If you really look carefully thru MAME, you'll discover many games have choppy scrolling because you're running them at 60Hz and they need 53,53,54,55,56,57,58 or 59 Hz to scroll perfectly! Basically anything more than a full Hz will make the scrolls choppy.
Anyway, I hope this helps you guys - Moonj Patrol is too good of a game to play with choppy scrolling. :)
