Moon Patrol Skippy Scrolling!!!!, not a newbie complaint!

I have been using mame since the start, and it seems the last three releases have made MOON PATROL scrolling SUCK! I tried everything too, vsync, tripplebuffer, etc. It ALWAYS IS SKIPPY, scrolling is all wrong. Is Moon Patrol not 100% now? I even went to a local arcade to play it and the real one scrolls 100% perfecct (of course)
What is wrong?
