You are correct, EXCEPT that it's NOT a new feature in *Official* MAME. It only exists in Emuplus and Tim Eckel's (http://www.arcadeathome.com) special build, he calls it 36b6.1 for example. Note the added .1 - it's because he added some things including the gui switch and Sidewinder fix etc. And absolutely, the guihost switch is THE easy way to do it! :)

: Save the file and you're done. The warning message and game stats message that used to show up should be gone forever. This is a new feature of 36b6, and should set it up so that when you select a game from A@H or from the dos prompt, the game should fire up immediately.
