Only problem is that cordless keyboards are usually a bit expensive. That, and you'd need batteries in your control panel which you'd have to replace. And the last cordless keyboard I used seemed a bit slow in response time. This was a few years ago, they may be better now.
: A lot of us BYOACers like to build several swappable control panels instead of just one huge one. I myself use db15 connectors. A lot of people also like to hack keyboards. This got me thinking. Why doesn't someone make swappable control panels hacking cordless keyboards? I know all about the negatives to hacking a keyboard but this is actually a reason that may make it worth it because I don't believe there are any cordless encoders out there. This would be cool. Just buy 2 or more cordless keyboards of the same exact brand. They'd all use the same receiver.
: Need to swap panels? Just one off and pop the other on. No need to hook up ANYTHING! I think this is a sweet idea! Hehe.
