You could try looking for a router bit that's designed to make 'biscuit joints'. I effect the job of this bit is to cut a slot into timber, so I imagine it would do the job.

Otherwise if you know someone with a tablesaw it should have a fence on it so you can simply set the fence at the correct offset and rip a slot in the piece of timber - easy for me to say as I have a tablesaw....

: Hey, anybody got a good source for 1/16" wide circle cutting/router bits for slotting panels to accept T moulding? I need to re-do some and I wasn't very happy with the way I ended up doing it last time. I can't find any that small around here that aren't composite cut-off wheels.
