Trident Blade3D performance is lightly to be a bottle neck for fast machines, I've discussed performance issues before on my website.
VsyncMAME works fine with Voodoos (Banshee, Voodoo3, I am not sure if it supports Voodoo5500 yet, but all it needs to support 5 is just the detection code).
