: I grabbed an arcade spinner from a local guy today and the optical sensor on it has four contacts per side (8 in total).. I want to hack it to a mouse but the mouse has less contacts. Does anyone know if this can be done? All the hacks I've seen have had the same number of contacts. If I can't hack it, I'll just rip a mouse apart and mount the encoder wheel on the end of the spinner, no big deal, I just thought this might be easier. Thanks in advance,
