Why the heck use AdvanceMame over VsyncMame?

Not to start a flame war or anything, but why would anyone use AdvanceMame?
With Vsyncmame all I have to do is install and run. All games run perfectly (and very smoothly) with little to no tweaking. Even the vertical 288x244 games look ok with the ystretch option. Yes, you need a supported video card but I do not think the $35 for a Trident Blade3D will put anyone in the poorhouse. I have yet to find a game I cannot run perfectly with this version of mame. I just see recommendations everywhere for AdvanceMame, but no one but me seems to use this "stepchild" of mame builds.

What's your opinion?
