Hi all ..

Just got myself an almost perfect MK2 arcade cabinet
for a realllly nice price. I have a couple of qns about
my impending project to convert it into a fully dedicated
MAME cabinet. OK .. 1st of all I would like to use my SNES
-> PC converter that I have made (and have been using lately)
for the controls -> rewired snes ascii pads .. can anyone see
any future problems I might encounter?

I was going to create 6 'navigation' buttons on the side of the
cabinet (esc, up, down, p, f12 and f13) and hack them directly
to an old keyboard, with p1start and p2start going to '1' and '2'.
Anyone else tried this method ? .. :) .. probably not.
Alternatively .. will Arcadeos ever recognise snes pad movements
as cursor movements in the menu ? > (getting hopes up a little too
high I think) .. :)

As far as I can see, the monitor is perfect (nice res etc) it is
(I think) a 25", and I was just wondering if anyone has any comment
on vertical or 16bit neo games on this type of monitor. (it is a
dedicated MK2 cabinet .. so I suppose it will be the standard monitor
that came with MK2). Is there much agony involved in resizing the monitor
to get a nice output? I still expect black borders on vertical games
though.

Should the coin mech give a positive trigger when a coin goes through? ..
ie : rewire to snes 'p1select'?

Does anyone else get their friends to 'pay' for the games they are going to
play (in MAME / Raine) ? .. i keep telling them they will appreciate them
more (unlimited continues gives them no challenge) .. its not like the moneys
going anywhere .. I will just end up shouting them dirnks with the spent money
anyway .. so I dont know what they are complaining about :)

BTW the Jamma board is MK2 ver 1.1 - > the most CHEATING game version
in history! :) .. god, can _anyone_ remember getting through kintaro ?
its impossible!!!! oh and you can NEVER throw the cpu .. ever! .. even
when frozen or sometimes in 'finish him' stance!!! -> ie : they always throw
you! ..

sorry for the ramble .. new found hobby :)
