I've been thinking about this too. This is actually why I decided to make my own controls. I don't believe it can be done. What I had thought of was finding a programmable pad, then programming the pad correctly so the homemade twinsticks would work correctly, and then I would be all set. However, I have not found a pad ( for any console ) that allows you to program more than one button at a time. For example, I would want to program Right + A to be the left trigger. If I found a pad that could do this, I think it would be possible.
