..one may wish to go with the 9200 for a few reasons:
1) S-video method needs a tv-out card (or scan converter..$$$). One may already have a real good card and would rather not buy a card with tv-out which would close up most of what they saved.
2) They want the best picture possible for arcade games. S-video is good but I've heard that nothing beats the 9200.
3) They have this so-called "disposable income" that I've been hearing about. I can't find it so I doubt it even exists.
