: The NTSC versions won't have scart output. We're living in the stone age in the US.

: : I noticed at work some scan converters for repair that had Scart RGB
: : output on them and wondered if that would work with an
: : arcade monitor, it does!. It is the first time I have
: : seen the bios boot up on my arcade monitor. I used
: : two differnt models of the AVerkey the AVerkey3+ and
: : the AVerkey500. Both are the same except that the AVerkey500 has sharpness control and more inputs and
: : outputs. The picture on both looked the same except the 500 with the 2 levels of sharpness made the picture a bit clearer one the first level the second level made
: : the picture clearer but with flicker ( the same as monarc in 640x480 mode).

: : The only bad thing is that
: : the screen was cut off at the top I am using the PAL
: : version which has 625 lines on an arcade monitor which
: : is NTSC 525 lines, maybe a NTSC version of the AVerkey
: : would fit the whole screen in? Also one other minor
: : thing is that the power does not come on automatically
: : so if you were to put this in a cab you would have to
: : power this up sepatate.

: : The Scart RGB out on the unit is a HD15 female so it is
: : very easy to hook up the the Jamma harness. I have not
: : got any more info on these units as I just have the unit itself no manual of remote control etc. But there
: : is a web site, I don't know how much they cost either.

: : Has anyone else done this?
