Problems are abound for me as of recently. First my cabinet that was supposed to arive via Yellow Freight on Thursday arived on Wednsday instead. Since I had nobody here to help me move it, I told them to come back. I drove home from work on THursday morning only to see the Yellow Freight truck driving away. I guess they have never heard of the concept of letting people know when there stuff is ariving. Anyways, now it will be ariving on Monday, and I will be moving all 260 pounds of arcade goodness all by myself. Fun fun. Even worse, my computer is having trouble. I got the soundcard working, but now DOS won't work. It is the strangest thing. I can open a DOS prompt, but if I restart into MS-DOS, I can see the little cursor blink, but then my computer restarts into Windows. If I use arcadeos (through a DOS prompt) the menu comes up. But when I choose a game, the screen goes black and the computer restarts. For a while when I restarted into MS-DOS, I would have to turn my monitor off and then back on because nothing would come on the screen. And even now, if I open a DOS prompt and press Alt+Enter to make it full screen, I can't see anything. ANy ideas on what I should do? Can I reinstall MS-DOS without reformating the HD? Any help is MUCH appreciated.
