As for the connections, you only need to connect to one ground. You can daisy chain all of the grounds together on the joystick.

As for the VMU, if you desolder it you could probably use a ribbon cable to move it to another location, but I would just stick a memory card in the box along with the pad instead.

: is the only thing you have to do is solder the 2 wires to each spot, the ground and button function, im pretty sure thats all i have to do. another thing, is there a way i can mount the controller top because i want to be able to use a memory card during the game. can anyone think of a way to disconnect the top part the memory cards fit into od do you have to leave them attached to the pcb. i want to take it off but i need to know if i can hook it up with wires to the pcb before i do. the way the pad is shaped i cant think of a way to mount it with it attached so i can still insert memory cards. thanks for and ideas.
